An Upgraded Experience – Anaheim Convention Center
The Anaheim Convention Center replaced their aging Daktronics board with a beautiful high resolution 8mm FLEX Series Display, retrofitted into their iconic structure and made possible by our friends at Padcor Electric.
The previous system struggled to keep pace with the venue’s needs incurring rising repair costs and outages affecting their ability to promote timely events. They needed a modern solution that could not only deliver high-impact visuals but also comply with strict local energy regulations, such as the Title 24 energy code. The Upgrade
The new double face system provides superior brightness and color accuracy even in direct sunlight, while simultaneously reducing power consumption. Beyond aesthetic improvements, the project focused on increasing operational uptime through industrial-grade components and a flexible remote content management system. This allows staff to utilize the SM Infinity™ platform for real-time messaging, remote scheduling, and the integration of automated emergency alerts, ensuring a seamless experience for the millions of guests who visit the hub annually.
The Install
The success of the project relied heavily on the expertise of Padcor Electric, a trusted Vantage LED dealer. The collaboration was essential for meeting retrofit requirements and ensuring a smooth installation process with minimal disruption to the venue’s daily operations. By working closely with both the Vantage LED team and the Convention Center’s facilities staff, Padcor ensured the system was installed, tested and fully optimized for long-term reliability.

Today, the Anaheim Convention Center boasts a durable, energy-conscious display solution that reliably delivers content 24/7, allowing the venue to showcase events and welcome guests with confidence.
