Immortal Productions, the production company of In Time, sought to incorporate dynamic LED Displays in their futuristic movie and reached out to ADvantage LED Signs who delivered and managed this project with ease. It was vital that the refresh rate on the LED display matched seamlessly with the capabilities of their filming equipment. The U.S. based manufacturer, Vantage LED, who developed the DarwinTM Control Unit (outfitted in all of their LED displays) ensured the production company that they would encounter no problems. The entire staff at In Time was thrilled with the quality and performance of the LED Displays as well as the customer service and support.
“I was in the in the room with Academy Award Nominee cinematographer Roger Deakins... The greatest part about my behind the scenes experience was that we met all of the demands that the production company requested. One example is that I collaborated with [our software designer] and created a sub scale of brightness in our software. This was needed in order for the camera to be able to film the LED display. We went down to 1/100 of 1 percent in order to accommodate Hollywood…It was an amazing experience creating something that was envisioned for a futuristic setting and that our product was a huge part of it.” recalls Ivan Perez of Vantage LED.
